YOGA MAT CARE GUIDE

Your Noveme mat is an investment piece. Crafted from the finest natural materials, this high-quality yoga mat is designed to last. Although it requires minimal maintenance, it is made of natural raw materials that can stain, damage or discolour when in contact with certain solutions, excess heat or direct sunlight. Taking good care of your mat will help it age beautifully over time.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR YOGA MAT

Avoid applying skin creams or oils before your practice, as they can transfer to and stain your mat as well as make you slip during practice.

Store it properly. Ideally, your yoga mat should lay flat at all times. However, if that is not possible, do not fold your mat – roll it and store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Allow your mat to air dry before storing it so moisture can evaporate.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR YOGA MAT

Noveme yoga mats feature a natural cork surface, which naturally repels bacteria and odours thanks to cork’s antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. For this reason, it requires minimal cleaning.

When cleaning is necessary, simply wipe your mat down with a damp cloth using only water or a small amount of neutral soap. Avoid contact with soapy or greasy water and cleaning solutions containing alcohol, as these can stain the material. Do not machine wash or submerge your mat in water.

Allow your mat to air dry (do not tumble dry) before rolling, and store it out of direct sunlight to prevent discolouring.

Please follow the same instructions to clean your Noveme Cork Yoga Block or Roller.

Cork is a natural raw material. Its appearance, namely colour, may alter with time without loss to its intrinsic properties.
